Easy Whole Wheat Beer Bread

Course: Bread, Side Dish

Ingredients

  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp barley malt syrup at room temperature
  • 1 12-ounce beer

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease 9-inch loaf pan.
  • In large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Add syrup and beer. Mix until everything is combined and forms into a dough. Dough will be lumpy and moist.
  • Transfer dough into prepared loaf pan and spread evenly. Bake 45 to 60 minutes until top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into center of the loaf comes out clean.
  • Serve warm.
